Assistant Professor: Engineering of Habitats for Extreme Environments

Job Opening (Cockrell School of Engineering)

The Fariborz Maseeh Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering (CAEE) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the Engineering of Habitats for Extreme Environments (EHEE).

Engineering of Habitats for Extreme Environments involves the design and construction of sustainable and resilient infrastructure in some of the universe’s most inhospitable environments, whether on Earth (underground, offshore, undersea, in the desert, or in the arctic), or off Earth (orbital and extraterrestrial habitats). Of particular interest for the position are candidates with expertise in addressing the multifaceted, transdisciplinary, engineering challenges associated with extraterrestrial habitat creation on the Moon or Mars.
